Welcome !

Welcome to Transcendent Theory! My name is Sarah, and this is a little corner of the world wide web where I hurdle my thoughts against the metaphorical wall! This blog was originally created to be a place where I tried to bring to light beauty, goodness, and truth in today’s music. Since these short-lived beginnings in 2019, I’ve had a career in teaching, married, had a child, and lost a passion to dissect music. However, my passion for writing and identifying beauty, goodness, and truth in all facets of life has not died. Rather, it has laid beneath the surface, like an underground fire, waiting for the right conditions to rise and consume the earth above. But like, in a good way! I hope that my random musings and interpretations— be they relatable, entertaining, or thought provoking— can be of some good.

Standing at one of my favourite and personally meaningful spots, where I first discerned my relationship, got engaged, and later had wedding photos taken

Here’s a list of things about me, just in case you are interested:

  • Prefers mountains and forests to oceans and beaches

  • Favourite book of all time is Jane Eyre

  • Favourite LOTR character in the movies is Aragorn, but in the books is Theoden

  • In an intercultural and inter religious marriage!

  • Speaking of religion, I cancelled all plans during the conclave just so I could catch the white smoke on livestream and cried when I saw our new Pope. So that should give you a pretty good clue of my afflilations.

  • Frequently overwhelmed with All The Things I Want To Do! Currently focussing on sourdough, reading, watercolour, and thinking a lot about sewing my own clothes

  • Loves treasure hunting, I mean, thrifting

  • Has the most cuddly, curious, music-loving, bubble-obsessed toddler!

  • My most favourite flower is the Lady Slipper, simply because when I was a child, my dad told me that fairies use these flowers as their actual slippers. Still enchanted with them.
